Support Salem
From its beginning, the Camp Ground has been supported financially by the gifts of those who attend the annual meetings. A Sunday morning
tradition is the appeal for funds to cover the year's expenses. In addition, many families of departed Salem campers request donations
to the Camp Group in lieu of flowers.
In 1939 Salem Camp Ground was incorporated and an interdenominational Board of Trustees established. The trustees serve without compensation so that all funds are channeled directly into the upkeep of buildings and grounds and to cover expenses of the annual program.
In 1981, the Board of Trustees responded to the need for additional yearly income with the establishment of an endowment fund called The Salem Foundation. Givers of $1000 or more may list gifts in honor or memory of a loved one. (Only one person or couple may be listed per $1000 gift.) These gifts are invested and only the interest is used for the upkeep and capital improvements.
