his death (husband of Marie Ellington).

History - built by V.C. Ellington in 1951. Continuously occupied at campmeeting
by
Ellington family ever since. The present site of the Ellington Tent was
previously occupied by two tents. V.C. Ellington tore down the two and
erected the one larger tent in 1951. The present tent sleeps about 16
and from 1951 till about 1985 all bedrooms were being used. At present
the tenters in 2003 are Marie Ellington Pate (daughter of V.C. and Jewell
Ellington) who has been coming since she was six years old (that makes
this her 76th Camp Meeting). Sandra Pate Keller, daughter of Marie, her
50th Camp Meeting. Sandra’s children Caroline and Rard, Dan Whitworth,
Marie’s grandson and his daughter Chloe. Caroline Keller attended
Camp Meeting for the first time when she was one week old and will be
celebrating her 17th birthday on August 3rd, making this her 17th Camp
Meeting.
