Built for Salem boys and Girls - The Plunkett family and Salem go back over 100 years. David Plunkett blew a long bugle to start services (his tent at that time is now the Doster Tent). The Howington family has attended services since 1986. (Marcie and John have been a part of Salem Campmeeting since birth and have never missed a year.) They camped on the campground from 1990 until 1992. Chris and Tim Azar have attended Salem since 1992 when the Howingtons and the Azars began tenting in the Plunkett tent. The McKibben family has also tented here for the last eight years.
